Representations In Our Video

For my music video “kiss kiss” by Chris Brown and T-Pain we have followed the same concept of having two main protagonists. Although the song is mainly directed towards Chris brown, T-Pain is also seen as the main singer. This video is seen to be a genre of R&B, following the conventions of having some sort of dance performance. As fashion is a big part in the music industry we have decided to stick to the casual dress code, which will be jeans, t-shirt and a jacket.

Furthermore as most music videos know include a “sexy women” which is portrayed as being the sex object in the video. We will not have this stereotypical view in our video as our main focus will be on the two main singers. As most music videos consist of dance routines we will come up with our own dances in order to make the music video appeal to the target audience. We want the artist to be portrayed as a young male who enjoys dancing. As R&B can be associated with a male and female genre we want to show that not all music videos need the “hot girl” in order for it to appeal to the audience.
